Commissions

I welcome a limited number of custom commissions each year, working closely with collectors to create original paintings inspired by meaningful places, journeys, and memories. Many commissions are based on railroads, coastal scenes, landscapes, or locations with personal significance.

Each commission is approached with the same care, craftsmanship, and attention to light and atmosphere as my studio work. Whether you have a specific reference in mind or a general idea, I'm happy to discuss possibilities and guide the process from concept to completion.

How It Works

• Contact me to discuss your vision, preferred size, and medium (watercolor or oil)
• I'll provide a detailed quote based on your specifications — no consultation fee required
• Once we agree on the details, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your commission slot
• I'll create your custom artwork with progress updates along the way
• Final payment is due upon completion, before shipping

Pricing & Timeline

Commission pricing is based on size, medium, and complexity. As a general guide:

• Watercolor — from $135 (small studies) to $800+ (large gallery works)
• Oil — from $215 (small studies) to $1,800+ (large signature works)

Most commissions are completed within 4–8 weeks depending on scope and my current schedule. A detailed quote is provided before any commitment is required.
