I created this piece after visiting the arboretum with my wife during the Daffodil Festival — one of those experiences where the landscape stays with you long after you leave.

It was also developed during my spring artist residency at the Westfield Memorial Library, where I focused on capturing local landscapes and seasonal transitions through watercolor.

The festival itself holds a beautiful contrast — joyful crowds moving through fields of blooms, yet quiet pockets where everything feels still and intimate. This painting holds both.
