Demo: Waterfall and River Reflections

Morning light filters through a stand of evergreens, their dark shapes reflected in the cool, rippling water below, while mist softens the distant hills into a quiet haze.

Loose, layered washes capture the shimmer of moving water, and the contrast between the sunlit yellow-green hillside and the deep forest shadows gives the scene its energy.

I painted this as a class demo to show how trees and water can anchor a landscape without overworking either. There's a stillness here that surprised me as it came together.
