A quiet discovery along the shore

A late-spring walk along New Jersey’s Henry Hudson Trail with my wife led us to this view of the marina. Through the trees, open water and distant sailboats offered a moment to stop and take it all in.

In Hidden Along the Bay, I wanted to preserve the contrast between the wooded shoreline in the foreground and the open water beyond. Expressive brushwork, subtle color shifts, and the interplay of trees, water, and sky carry the peaceful atmosphere of that afternoon into this original oil painting.

For a collector with a connection to the Jersey Shore, a love of sailing, or an appreciation for familiar coastal landscapes, this painting offers a place to pause and return to.

You are purchasing the original 16 × 20-inch oil painting, not a print or reproduction.
