Watercolor
A loose, light-filled watercolor capturing a beach scene from above, where color, distance, and memory shape the experience.
In View from the Balcony, I captured a quiet moment overlooking the shoreline, where the beach, ocean, and sky come together in soft layers of color and light. The elevated perspective allowed me to simplify the scene and focus on the rhythm of shapes across the landscape.
As I painted, I worked loosely, letting the watercolor move naturally to suggest figures, structures, and distance without over-defining them. The beach umbrellas and small groups of people become part of the overall atmosphere rather than individual focal points.
This piece reflects my ongoing exploration of coastal scenes, where light, space, and memory shape the experience of a place.
