Collection: Light & Memory — A Small Retrospective

Light & Memory

A Small Retrospective by William Palm

On view at Westfield Memorial Library, April & May 2026.

This exhibition is a curated retrospective — a selection of original oil paintings and watercolors chosen to represent the arc of William Palm's work across place, atmosphere, and lived experience. From the New Jersey coastline to railroad heritage, small-town moments, and quiet landscapes, each piece reflects a sustained engagement with light and memory over time.

The works on view span multiple series and media, brought together here as a cohesive body of work during William's Artist-in-Residence appointment at Westfield Memorial Library — one of four artists selected by the Westfield Art Association for the spring 2026 residency.

New ink and watercolor paintings are being developed on-site throughout the residency, allowing visitors to witness the creative process unfold in real time.
